India proposed 60 Solar Cities

According to AHN news aggregator Web site reports, India December 21 announced that roughly 34 cities to play Solar City, caused by the use of solar energy to meet electricity demand in these cities.
It is learned that cities will be selected from India in 20 states, the remaining states temporarily not be considered. The Government of India is based on certain criteria to decide which states are eligible to be included in the scope of choice. Ultimately, the Government has selected in line with "standard" city.
India's new minister of energy and renewable energy Faro December 18 Abdullah said selection criteria including: the urban population to between 500000-5000000; have been enacted to improve energy efficiency and promotion of renewable energy measures and laws and regulations. He also noted that the Solar City over the next five years, could be India's conventional energy consumption is reduced by 10%.
