Thank you for purchasing our WELLSEE MPPT solar charge controller. Please read these instructions before use.

1. Safety

Full consideration to the safety of persons and property has been given when designing the products. However the incorrect connection may cause the system breakdown or even safety accident. For your safety and benefits, the following rules must be complied during the operation.

 

  1. Installation of this product shall be guidance from the professionals in this field.
  2. Prevent any liquid spattered on the controller. Do not clean the controller with wet cloth.
  3. Keep children and incapaable persons away from the controller.
  4. Keep the controller away from electrical heater, heating machine and other high temperature electrical appliances; avoid the controller suffer from insolation directly .
  5. Please check the rated voltage of solar panel, battery, and loads before connection. 12V rated voltages is 12V, 24V rated voltages is 24V, 48V rated voltages is 48V.
  6. Make sure connections between positive and negative poles of Solar panels, Battery and Loads are correct.
  7. The diameter of connecting cable must be match with the requirements of the current.
  8. The total rated current of solar panel and loads must be smaller than the controller.
  9. Components of system must be correctly and firmly connected.

 

 

 

2. Features

 

MPPT solar charge controller WS MPPT 10-60: Compared with normal solar charge controller, this MPPT controller could increase efficiency at 10%-30%.

This MPPT controller has perfect SOC function,control charge current,and supply power to the loads.

Function:

 

  1. Always keep the battery on full voltage condition.
  2. Prevent the battery from over-charging.
  3. Prevent the battery from over-discharging.
  4. Prevent the battery from reverse charging to solar panels during nights.
  5. Reverse Polarity Protection for Battery
  6. Reverse Polarity Protection for Solar panels
  7. When the current of the load exceeds the rated current of the controller, the controller will activate the protection mode and lock up.
  8. When the load short circuited, the controller will activate the protection mode and lock up.
  9. When the battery voltage is low, the controller will automatically cut off the load from the system.If the voltage of battery is back to normal and the load will restart working.
  10. Thunder protection
  11. According to the battery voltage grade,the controller can automatically set charge-off voltage, the load-off voltage, the load-restore voltage.(The parameter is default under 25℃ condition, locked by the CPU procedure,cannot adjust.)
  12. The controller will automatically compensate the temperature of the charging voltage according to the changes of ambient temperature

 

3. Connection

 

As shown in the following diagram of connection,the controller’s six terminals have the definite connection sign.

Notice:

Before connect to the solar panel,please connect the controller to the battery, do not use solar panel directly supply power to the loads.

Choose the suitable wire which diameter should not be too small),please refer to the specification.

 

 

4.INDICATE LIGHT AND BUTTON

1.Red LED(CHARGE) is always on,battery is charged up strongly; Red LED is flickering,battery is charged up in constant voltage; Red LED is off,charge off.

2. Green LED(LOAD / LIGHT) is on, loads are normally working; Green LED(LOAD / LIGHT) is off, loads are stop working.

3. Three Color-changing LED(BATTERY),low battery voltage is red,full battery is green,normally working is orange.

6.TROUBLE SOLUTION

 

Phenomenon:Green LED off,battery indicate LED is red.

Reason: Low voltage of battery

Solution:

A: Cut off the power,press the reset button let the controller restore working.After charge the battery,then connect the loads.

B: increase the solar panel power or change the battery.

 

Phenomenon: Battery indicate LED is orange and Load indicate LED is green,the loads cannot working.

Reason:Over load or short circuited,cause the controller inner fuse cut off

Solution: Eliminating the malfunction after 10-20 mins,the fuse can automatically restore and then press the reset button,restore working.
